Doing a shot for shot remake of The Wizard of Oz where all I change is the (compared to later films) low quality of the matte painting work, going epic and hyperrealistic like you'd see in a 70s or 80s #scifi film

Ranting in my retro video game chat about how incredible the soundtracks to the DOS Dune and Dune II games from the 90s are, two of my favorite video game OSTs of all time. I've never even played the games or had much desire to, I just really dig the music.

Back on my #slowcore #sadcore shit again tonight, because my specialty is making myself feel bad on purpose. #music #RedHousePainters

I had roommates once in my life, and I knew within months that I never wanted to do it again. Absolutely miserable experience, made all the worse that one was a weed dealer who was also an antisemitic conspiracy theorist who started dropping molly on a regular basis and the other was such a loud snorer that it reverberated the whole apartment.

For my now-mandated (by myself) hour of reading a day, picked up my half-read copy of The Mothman Prophecies and wanted an appropriately spooky soundtrack to it so I threw on John Carpenter's soundtrack to The Fog (1980)

I couldn't resist a Vincent Price #Bluray collection for $17 that included 4 of his Poe films with Corman and two of his later cult classic British films, plus a bunch of commentaries and interviews as rare in this era bonus content. Vincent is my favorite.

There's always some drivers I know from various #NASCAR series whenever I watch #TransAm #TA2 races like this one at Sonoma from the weekend I have on. The cars they race are functionally almost the same as stock car late models and built by some of the same companies that do a lot of the nation's late models, so the series is really good training for young drivers who want to learn how to road race in a stock car prior to moving into the top 3 series in NASCAR.

I absolutely adore the 12 Hours of #Sebring, such a challenging and treacherous track, especially over the last couple hours as the lights go down and the temps cool down a bit and Indycar guys come in to pull 3rd driver duty. It isn't quite as magical as Daytona, but it is close.

This two-parter episode of Da Vinci's Inquest I've been watching has the absolutely fabulous Matt Frewer as a serial killer, and I've enjoyed it so much. I've never seen Frewer give less than a great performance no matter the tone or genre.

Oh hell yeah, my step mom offered to get me like 30-40 bucks worth of school supplies to celebrate the end of my first term with grades about as high as they possibly can be (my lowest right now is a 98). Gonna spend the #NASCAR race browsing Amazon for exclusively pens cause I go through them fast which is always the downside to preferring bold gel ink.

Sometimes I get anxious knowing I have to run an errand later even though I don't have to go out of my way to do it at all because it is right along my normal walking path I do 3-5 times a day. At most it adds about 5 minutes to my regular course. I honestly don't understand why this is.

My dad joked that Randall Flagg from The Stand is my fashion icon when I told him how many pins (4-7) I wear on my shirt every day and I told him I've made that very joke on social media before, especially because during Spring and Fall I am often rocking a denim jacket and jeans too.

I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That) is an absolutely perfect song, I have no notes, I could literally listen to it every single day of my life. Sometimes I do.

I got the idea of a goth rock cover of Ballad of a Thin Man by Bob Dylan and now there is nothing I want to happen more.

My biggest curse is being able to recall just about any fact from the OJ Simpson case because my mom had CourtTV and CNN coverage of it on all the time when I was a little kid and taped it all onto VHS and she had multiple books on the subject and countless old tabloid back issues. It was just driven into me.
