Being a partially-sighted artist, I’m fascinated by how differently we all see the world.
Because of the angle of the sunlight, the shadows in this photo of a footprint appear on the lower edge of the imprint rather than the upper edge. Our brains expect light to come from above, so i see this as a footprint shape sticking up out of the sand rather than indented into it.
How do you see it?

I was back with my paints today after some time off over Easter.
I was working on this Leckhampton Hill view today.
Watercolour on cradled panel
12”x10”It’s a pointillism-style watercolour, a style that I’m really enjoying working in, and that suits my partially-sighted view of the world. And it features a park bench as a Long-Covid resting spot with a great view.

We were amazed at the incredible beauty of the unique #CheltenhamBadlands in #Caledon #Ontario Canada.The #Cheltenham Badlands have been named an Earth Science Area of Natural and Scientific Interest, by the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and are also part of the #NiagaraEscarpment which makes them a key feature of this #UNESCO - designated #WorldBiosphereReserve.
