What do you call a DJ named Theodore with ADHD and a penchant for mixing rap beefs?

It's hard to be angry when you always on the move. You nomad.

It's going to be interesting because I'm going to try to take #TriMet from Beaverton to the East side of the river and the protest is scheduled for tomorrow.

I heard this on #KMHD yesterday and I just can't get over how creepy it is. I'm not sure if it's as creepy as "Every Breath You Take," but this is basically the FAANG (I guess they're MANGA now?) theme song.

If you don't have a group text of friends feeding each other #spoonerisms and clues for spoonerisms, I be all fad for you.

Telling the DJ that I liked their Beach Boys mashup, and trying to seem cool and hip, but forgetting the word "slaps":
Yo that pet sounds set pounds

The fact that one spoonerism of food blog is blood fog tickles me to no end.
I am picturing a PDX Eater review of a vampire hookah bar complaining that the whole experience felt draining.

#CanYouSeeMtHoodFromCouncilCrest at 07:50 on November 30th, 2025?
Yes, but the top is censored by clouds for some reason.
You can also see Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier (and Mt. Adams, not pictured)

It is well known that the dead are gluten intolerant, so put on this toast gown, because we're heading to a ghost town

Luckily, I can just sign in on my server directly! Thanks, #hachyderm!

I have a ticket for the #MeltBanana show at #MississsippiStudios tomorrow night, but I am sick and have to miss it. Anyone wanna buy my ticket? Face value, no fee.

Donated #platelets today for the first time in a while. I used to do this more often, but my doctor was worried about my iron levels, so I had to go down to doing this once a quarter.
It's also kinda wild to watch the counter increase by hundreds of billions.

Was wondering why #Portland was popping up all of a sudden and then I got this text from a friend in DC. Evergreen reminder that every day is #ShutTheFuckUpFriday

Yall should come out to this ride. I went on it last year and it is super fun and a hell of a workout.

If you don't have a years-long running group chat with your friends trading #spoonerism one-offs and riddles, you have not yet lived.

I found the docs for creating an #REnv profile a bit lacking, so I set up a demonstration showing how you can pre-set a project to use different profiles. Comments welcome.

Today is #RideWestside #CriticalMass!
This month we are heading to the #Hillsboro farmers market by going up one of my most hated #stroads: Walker, where it ranges from two lanes just after Cedar Hills to six lanes at 158th.
If you are wondering what the vibe is like: it's mirthful. We had a dude bring his cat along last month.

For anyone that wants a deeper dive, this was the subject of the first episode of #NPR's #Throughline podcast, which was heavily sourced from the book "All the Shah's Men"

I ended up riding 50+ miles between #Hillsboro and Mt #Tabor yesterday and today I'm going to the #BikeSummer kickoff ride.
The first ride of the day yesterday, I met Frau the bike cat at the #RideWestside #CriticalMass

The last track on the latest #JapaneseBreakfast album gives me strong #Hereditary vibes.

This gives me hope that the bubble will eventually pop. Though it may be too late for a generation or more suffering the secondary effects of the filth that has seeped into our digital environment.

@JacobPhD I mean, silly/cutsey names in scientific software have been around for a while, tho (remember the vegan R package?) that being said, that argument is not cool.
Here's a fun one: I am partially responsible for dozens of serious scientific papers invoking the name of a Pokémon glitch called #missingno. Back in 2013, I named a function missingno in my R package. Five years later, I am asked to peer review a Python package named 'missingno', whose name was inspired by my function: https://github.com/openjournals/joss-reviews/issues/443#issuecomment-360814979

@rOpenSci an update: the bug has been fixed in the development version of {pak} and {pkgbuild}. you can down use `pak-version: "devel"` in your workflow to use it in your workflows
see https://github.com/hubverse-org/hubValidations/issues/235#issuecomment-2863055858
-
If you use a packages from the #RUniverse on #GitHub using r-lib/setup-r-dependencies and are seeing an error that says "malformed DESCRIPTION" it might just be this bug: https://github.com/r-lib/pak/issues/771
In short: A recent deploy of the R Universe added a `File:` field in /src/contrib/PACKAGES that is causing the tarball to be named as the sha256 hash and {pkgbuild} (used by {pak}, which is used by r-lib/setup-r-dependencies) does not like that one bit.
One solution to work around this is to add the GitHub sources to the `packages:` field:
```
with:
packages: |
github::[user]/[repo]@[version]
I'm in a situation where an organization has a #ReadTheDocs website registered as `<project>.io` (via #NameCheap). Note that no one in this organization are experts or even practitioners of web publishing. People are realizing that the documentation site is not the best landing page and want to do two things:
1. move the documentation site to `docs.<project>.io`
2. set `<project>.io` to host the landing page built on #GitHub with links out to `<project>.io`The question is: how the heck does one go about doing this without borking everything? It's clear that external links to the documentation would need to change, but in the meantime, I can see the following:
1. register `docs.<project>.io` and add that to the domains in #ReadTheDocs
2. set `<project>.io` as the CNAME for the GitHub site
3. add JavaScript to the 404 page that detects if the link is attempting to point to the documentation site and provide the correct redirect.
