I set up #audiobookshelf and I started to listen to my first audiobook.
And since it has a podcasts feature I'm also picking up an old Podcast I used to listen to called #WelcomeToNightvale

I'm still tiptoeing back into social life, but this week, I went to see Welcome to Night Vale live for the first time in 8+ years. I ended up with a spare ticket, and instead of just going alone like I normally would, I offered it up and ended up with not one but two pals to hang out with. We laughed (and thanks to allergies, I cried) for a couple of hours. It was great. That's so, just a little brag that I did a normal people thing.

This is the first song I listened to while walking home through the central square of #Szeged, where we beat Fidesz by the largest margin in all of #Hungary . :moomin_yay:
It's not one of the mainstay protest songs, but it's been stuck in my mind ever since I heard it on the weather forecast in #WelcomeToNightVale many many years ago. :flan_headbang:

So I started re-listening to the #WelcomeToNightVale #podcast (such good memories) and was surprised to hear location-targeted ads in the middle of an episode. Are they injecting ads into their #RSS feed?
I don't want to use YouTube to listen to it, and I'd rather support the creators, but not through aggressive tracking & advertising…
Seems like they have an ad-free RSS feed on their Patreon. I'd rather buy it one-off than add another subscription, but it might be the only option.

#WelcomeToNightVale has been my go to I-need-to-use-my-eyes-to-do-this-task-but-it-doesn't-need-my-full-attention-so-I'd-like-to-listen-to-something-interesting-while-I-do-this audio source for at least the last 3, maybe 5 years. I started with episode 1, and I'd listen to 2 or 3 at a time. But just now, I finished episode 268. I've finally caught up.

#WelcomeToNightVale got me started a few years ago, but I'm tearing through #TheMagnusArchives and #OldGodsofAppalachia

Anyone else have a favorite fiction #podcast they could recommend? I'm a huge fan of sci-fi and "weird fiction" (i.e. X-Files, Haven, SCP Foundation, Warehouse 13, vaguely Lovecraftian stuff especially in a modern setting)
