Last month I found a portable #CRT TV #crttv and wanted to get streaming channels working on it. If you’re new to doing something like this, I describe the simple process here: https://vikaskumar.org/2025/11/29/supersonic-fc9600-crt-tv-modernize.html

Ideally would love to do more than this and try to get some other demos working on the TV. I was able to get an Atari working on it to play games but playing games is not my thing. What else can be done with a black and white CRT TV ?

Decided to use the #LibbyApp and resurrect my Kindle 2.0 and discovered the lithium battery is permanently dead. Used #iFixit to open and take it out and have ordered a replacement from a random Amazon seller. Hopefully it will arrive in a few days 😐

Just finished Tracy Kidder’s The Soul of a New Machine, a #book, about the creation of one of Data General’s machines in the 1970s. If you love #assembler #assembly language, learning about low level stuff like #microcode, #logicanalyzer and how engineers designed full computers in those days, etc this book is for you. #bookstodon #books
