Spent time today clearing out all my #Git repos from #BitBucket. I've always had use for private repos during analysis development. We a lot of collaborating, and the whole development process is through private repos. #GitHub had a very low limit on private repos historically. We'd develop using BitBucket, and publish analyses for papers on GitHub.

The BitBucket slashed the available space for repos. Still fine. I built a mini PC and hosted #ForgeJo for all historic internal analysises.

Das kannste schon so machen, aber dann trainierst du jetzt mit deinen Tickets und wahrscheinlich auch mit Bitbucket deren AI.

Wichtig ist natürlich: Je mehr du bezahlst, desto weniger Daten werden verarbeitet. Aber ganz ausschalten, nun, lässt es sich selbst bei Standard und Premium nicht. Freude!

Zum Glück gibt es noch bis 2029 On-Prem-Lösungen für die, die es noch haben. Vielleicht haben die Kunden Glück und die AI-Blase ist bis dahin geplatzt.

Bin ich froh, dass ich alles von Atlassian bereits vor Jahren abgeschafft habe.

I'd rather use something else. They are user hostile.

But they are running in a browser. And browsers are fundamentally "open source." I can inject whatever code I want, right?

I have no leverage with corporate to buy a plugin. Too expensive. I have no leverage with #atlassian to beg for a feature either: deaf ears. And they are closed source.

So I fixed it myself. It's pathetic. The info is all already in the DOM. But they don't seem to care.

I've got one huge project in #Bitbucket across multiple #git repositories. I would love to move it somewhere else, but I don't know where to go. Something that #Magit Forge supports would be great. Any suggestions?

After working on this feature for 2 weeks, and daily using and testing it, the pull request adding #bitbucket support to #gitbutler is merged. Sadly I missed a little the window for 0.21.0 release, but it should be part of the next release.
