Hallo @EUCommission ! 🙂

Cisco’s integration of AI into their general certification tracks. https://www.linkedin.com/posts/john-capobianco-644a1515_cisco-just-settled-the-argument-ccna-v20-share-7463223964203655168-4M_x
AI in networking is a logical extension of large-scale analysis and orchestration. I get that. This has the same foundational thinking as the “every networking practitioner must be a developer” mantra from 10 years ago… and it holds a similar level of truth. This is why it belongs in the automation tracks and not the ever increasingly broad general tracks. #NetEng #AI #Cisco #CCNA #CCIE

Lost several hours of work today because company is using #Cisco #Umbrella for secure #DNS but they are banned/unavailable in France, so my PC had no DNS service as it ignores the DHCP provided one... It couldn't update itself as it couldn't phone home to get the instructions to say ignore the secure DNS, and I don't have the authority to change anything locally...
What fun we had fixing that...!

Currently in the middle of my #CCNA revisions. Finally got my hands on a #Cisco 2960 to have some fun with real equipment and move away from Packet Tracer.
I just rebuilt my homelab architecture. It's a classic but effective setup: #OPNsense firewall, managed switch, and multiple VLANs
I documented the whole topology, IPAM, and some troubleshooting steps on my personal wiki.
https://wiki.unclereaton.dev/doku.php?id=network:homelab_architecture (watch out - it's in French :D)

I am not a network engineer. I have done a lot of network engineering things in my time.
It sure seems like a majority of the difficulty with things like the #CCNA (and other industry certs) is mostly just memorizing the non-standard marketing term for a very standard feature.
What the hell is EtherChannel? Is it different than link aggregation? No not really. So just call it friggin lagg or lacp like everyone else?

Cisco Zero-Day Exploited in Ongoing Attacks by Persistent Threat Group
A newly discovered Cisco zero-day vulnerability, CVE-2026-20182, is being exploited in ongoing attacks, allowing threat actors to gain the highest administrative access to a network controller, essentially handing them a master key to wreak havoc. This max-severity flaw has sparked a race against time for Cisco customers and national cyber…
