Ayer terminé de leer (por fin) la trilogía de La primera ley, de Joe Abercrombie. Digo por fin porque son tres tochos bastante aparentes, no porque haya sido una mala lectura. Más bien al contrario, me ha gustado mucho.
Me metí con ella después de leer Los diablos, libro que vi recomendado aquí, en Mastodon, y me gustó tanto que quise repetir con el autor. Y, al igual que en ese libro, aquí me he encontrado con unos personajes muy bien construidos, con sus aristas y sus pasados tortuosos, como debe ser. Ninguno de ellos es bueno del todo ni malo del todo. Son, sencillamente, personas, con sus defectos y virtudes (de estas últimas pocas, no nos vamos a engañar).
Mención especial para Sand dan Glokta, el personaje más amado y a la vez odiado que puedo recordar. Las descripciones de sus dolorosos amaneceres, cuando intenta levantarse de la cama, son espectaculares.
Y el final también se sale de lo típico. Aquí no entro en detalles por cuestión de espoilers, y tal, pero vale la pena.
No será el último libro que lea del bueno de Joe, me parece.
