#abandoned #BoatHouse across road from #historic Orca Inn - #AlertBay on #CormorantIsland in #BritishColumbia #Canada 🦅 The Orca Inn was built, owned & run by Chinese Canadians who lived in Alert Bay during the 1930s-1950s. I believe this boathouse was owned by Japanese people who used to live there before WWII. Gov't rounded up & moved Japanese folks to internment camps & seized all their assets/belongings.

Could do without the electric sparks on abused nervous system & sudden cramps in hands, though, chemo side effects, which are less than conducive to holding my book...

The bus back from the hospital dropped me close to Harrison Park. I'm very tired, rather sore & should probably go home & nap, but it's so nice outside, & I want some time under a shady tree, listening to birdsong. Then home.

A few shots of buildings
Life has perforce kept me fairly local recently, but we’re still able to get out and about within an hour’s travel. I tend towards macro shots, but when I get the chance then I quite like architecture landscapes, particularly HDR shots. Here are a few from the past fortnight.

It's my younger daughter's 10th birthday today. One of her friends has allergies so we bought gluten free and dairy free options. She couldn't come to Laser Quest though as she's recently been hospitalised with breathing difficulties. According to her, their #homeopath, FFS, can't figure out what's wrong.
And I can't work out if I'm more sad or more angry.

I have until recently been using a pair of #Aftershokz #BoneConduction #headphones for dog walking but the microphone's gone and they don't now hold a good connection. They're also frightfully expensive to replace. Does anyone out there have any recomendations for a cheaper pair?
