King of the skies, a Bald Eagle, perched at the very edge of my lens's reach. The majestic silhouette, a dark etching against the vast canvas of the pale blue sky, was still a worthy capture. I waited thirty minutes, a patient predator myself, hoping for a closer pass. But the eagle had other plans, a sovereign flight path of its own making.
