Only watching the FIFA final today. Some thoughts:
1) doesn't seem that boring to me! way better than a number of the preceding matches!
2) nobody mentioned that there were Muppets playing part of the half-time show?? (the rest was, um, a lot) -
#FIFA has opened disciplinary proceedings following the heated scenes that overshadowed Spain’s #WorldCupfinal victory over #Argentina, with several members of the South American side set to come under scrutiny. FIFA’s disciplinary committee will review the referee’s reports, official match documentation and video footage before deciding whether any sanctions are warranted.
Midfielder Leandro Paredes is expected to be a central figure in the investigation after receiving a red card for violent conduct following the final whistle.
Defender Nahuel Molina is also reportedly being assessed after allegedly confronting Spain captain Rodri during the post-match incidents.
Argentina assistant coach Roberto Ayala could also face disciplinary action following claims he became involved in an altercation with Dani Olmo during the disorder.
FIFA will also examine Argentina’s conduct during the trophy presentation. -
