[3/3] The final day of our 3 day loop offered up a minor challenge to our return followed by a major challenge. Once surmounted, we were back to amazing high mountain walking on the side of Ray's Peak and further ridge walking back to the Hull Cabin site where we started.

[2/3] Day 2 of the 3 day loop was a long way down to cross the North Fork Trinity River, which one really shouldn't rely on doing in this season, especially with a heat wave on, but was easy this particular season. The first cabin of the day was before the crossing, the second along Grizzly Creek, and the third, well, what can you expect?

It featured many birds and burned areas to complete the day where a fire lookout once stood at the top of Cabin Peak. Except the day wasn't quite done because we did still need to get back to camp.

I found it, um, amusing, that @organicmaps calls this a "bridle path", presumably because it is labeled "horse=yes". (On #OSM.) It is entirely legal to bring your horse up this rocky, brushy trail with random big steps. If it is wise will depend on the horse. Seasoned stock out of California's Sierra Nevada may manage this piece of the Trinity Alps, but most aren't going to like it. Maybe if I added something like "horse_scale=critical", it would help?

Going all #SitClub at the top of Etna Mountain (not to be confused with Mount Etna) with the #RussianWilderness and #MarbleMountainWilderness and a bit of #TrinityAlpsWilderness and #SiskiyouWilderness all in view. The #PCT is busy in both directions right now, but it gets quiet quickly with the littlest turn off. Oh, yeah, #MountShastaWilderness too. #mountains #California
