A lighthearted outage happened today: Tildes, a link aggregator site (somewhat similar to reddit), had a brief issue with their home page not loading.
The culprit? An article about people named Null having some bad experiences was posted, and a mod added the tag "null" to the post. 😂https://tildes.net/~tildes/1m90/tildes_homepage_is_down_2025_02_25_4pm_utc#comment-eyt7

#Tildes seems to be my favorite #Reddit alternative. Clean, functional layout. A focus on long form conversations. No memes & other low effort content. Looks great on desktop and on mobile.
Federated alternatives like Lemmy are promising, but so far I like the culture that Tildes has, and is probably the most analogous to my current Reddit usage of reading comment chains about topics I'm into.
Now the question is, how do I find an invite...
