#Steinem didn't just work for a #CIA front: she ran one. She described the CIA as:"liberal, nonviolent & honorable". That's not just 3 lies in 3 words; it's an erasure of the horrors which CIA proxies & regimes inflicted on millions of women from Chile to Indonesia.
Steinem paved the way for Bush's regime to market invasions as pro-women.

Gloria Steinem is a second-wave feminist icon for everyone except second-wave feminists.
She was not chosen as a leader by the movement, or any part of the movement. Rather, the press chose her because she was heterosexual, white, educated — and politically moderate. It didn’t hurt that her breakthrough article was “A Bunny’s Tale,” in which she went undercover as a Playboy Bunny.

Gloria Steinem has left to join Source after 92 years of kicking ass on this stupid planet.
#Steinem dedicated her life to causes ranging from reproductive freedom and domestic violence prevention to fighting workplace gender inequalities.
She was the face of a movement that radically changed rights for women so they could eventually apply for credit cards without a man’s signature, be admitted to Ivy League schools that previously barred them, and legally get an abortion in the United States.
Gloria fought for the rights of everyone to stand free.
