¿Sabías que el creador de Spider-Man tuvo que pelear mucho para que aprobaran al personaje porque los jefes pensaban que la gente odiaba a las arañas?
En el año 1962 el editor Stan Lee presentó la idea de un superhéroe adolescente con problemas comunes pero el director de la editorial Marvel rechazó el concepto original argumentando que los lectores sentirían asco por el insecto y que un joven no podía ser el protagonista principal sino solo un ayudante. Para demostrar el potencial de su historia el autor publicó la primera aparición del personaje en el último número de una revista que estaba a punto de cancelarse llamada Amazing Fantasy número 15. Esa edición se convirtió de inmediato en un éxito masivo de ventas alcanzando récords históricos para la empresa en el siglo XX lo que obligó a los directivos a darle su propia serie de cómics pocos meses después.

Loki schemes to lure #SilverSurfer to defeat his brother #Thor. He convinces the Surfer that Thor is a tyrant threatening Asgard. In exchange for his help, Loki promises to free the Surfer from his exile on Earth.
This is the first meeting between Silver Surfer and Thor. Well written, besides battling at the same time, both Surfer and Thor reason about the battle; that doesn't seem to make much sense to them.

Stan Lee making all those cameos was fun and all, but do not forget that Lee spent a lot of his career claiming credit for writing comics that were mostly written by his collaborator like Jack Kirby or Steve Ditko.
