    It’s just as much concern for us
    to watch how Stars behave
    As for the ones returning homeward
    on the Wind and Wave,
    Who tempt the oyster-bearing jaws
    of a Bottomless Grave.

    So note the day that balances
    the night with equal Hours:
    When Light and Shadow split the globe
    in half, employ such powers
    That drive the Beast and sow the Seed
    before the Winter Showers.

  4. This is a long shot, but would anyone here be able to provide a translation of this Tang era Chinese poem by Chen Biao (陈标,陳標) called《江南行》? In simplified characters:

    水光春色满江天,蘋叶风吹荷叶钱。
    香蚁翠旗临岸市,艳娥红袖渡江船。
    晓惊白鹭联翩雪,浪蹙青茭潋滟烟。
    不怕江洲芳草暮,待将秋兴折湖莲。
