    Same with plastics. Most plastic has been produced (and dumped into the sea) in the last ~15 years or less. We, not our ancestors but we, can choose not to.

    Data up to 2019. More than 50% of all plastics ever were produced between 2006 and 2019. The trend continued aggravating, because the total annual plastic production is, as far as I know, still rising.
