I really want to get into shoot-em-ups like Parodius or Cotton, but they feel impossible after dying once. I'm sure its a skill issue but if one mistake throws all my stats back to 0, what chance do I have once respawned? Especially in Parodius Da with the abysmal speed you start at. I might as well reset the whole game if I'm gonna be dropped in the middle of a bullet swarm with a pea shooter and a lead weight on me.

I decided to replace the broken screen on this old #GameBoy with an IPS display.
I know it's not original, but for some reason, the mainboard refused to play nice with an original lcd replacement.🤷‍♂️
(yes, I reflowed the solder-blob spring contacts).
