Whenever I look at the code for the MiSTer FPGA core we developed for Nemesis, I’m amazed again that we pulled it off.
I remember how complicated the sound subsystem looked at the beginning, with its unknown K5289 custom chip. Then I laugh at how simple it is compared to the rest of the game and its 6 unknown custom chips. 😅
It’s really satisfying to gain such a deep understanding of a system.
