According to a post in Discord, @modrinth's pride month fundraising campaign brought in over 22,000 USD donations for the non-profit Rainbow Railroad.
Modrinth says they are matching the donations 1:1.

I found a sex ad on... #MODRINTH !?

I happen to stumble upon a collection on Modrinth, a #minecraft mod distribution platform. Said collection has a Chinese title and description that roughly translates to "Changsha Prostitute (WeChat: ****, Door-to-door service)"

The collection contains only 1 mod, Fabric API, so we can assume the title and description were the entire purpose of its existence.

This discovery awakened an observation I had on Modrinth, which is that Modrinth seems to have a higher ratio of Chinese content compared to Curseforge. If you check the modpacks page on Modrinth, you can see 2 modpacks on the 1st page with Chinese title or description.

Does the Modrinth team have the people to monitor content in different languages? (Hire me lol)

It's a block that increases random and block entity tick rates. Tl;dr, it makes furnaces run faster and plants grow quicker. It's more useful for modded Minecraft than survival, but then I did make this block specifically to speed up Forestry apiaries. :blobreach:

I just tried the Modrinth App again, and it’s way better than last time I tried. My go-to has been PrismLauncher, but either I missed some feature or switching mc version with mods isn’t trivial.

This needs more attention: Russia is starting to threat websites and ask them to comply with censoring queer content. It's a good thing that #modrinth stands up for its values, which is awesome, but they are definitely not the only website that gets these kind of threats. Most likely only comply with it and don't talk about it.

This is something that definitely should be more reported about.
