hello, the client-side autofishing bot has also been updated to 26.2!

Idk how to feel about this
I always hated the essentials mod cause of how much it reminds me of the bedrock client with all those micro transactions
But! I do respect the decision. I hope everything will go well.
Platforma Modrinth przeszła w ręce studia Spark Universe
Platforma Modrinth, popularne otwartoźródłowe repozytorium modów do Minecrafta, przeszła w ręce amsterdamskiego studia Spark Universe. Informację ogłoszono 15 czerwca 2026 roku; transakcja zamknęła się już w lutym.

PSA:
Do you enjoy playing #ModdedMinecraft?
Are you familiar with #Modrinth?
Well, they've just been bought by "Spark Universe", the company behind various paid Marketplace addons for Bedrock, part of the Aether trademark scam, and the microtransaction-ridden Essential mod.

Since the alternative – Curseforge – is an ad company, a Israeli military contractor and has a history of distributing malware, what's left?
It's time for someone to step up and finally create a community-run mod hosting website. Perhaps the @PrismLauncher folks?
According to a post in Discord, @modrinth's pride month fundraising campaign brought in over 22,000 USD donations for the non-profit Rainbow Railroad.
Modrinth says they are matching the donations 1:1.

Last year, Modrinth was censored by the Russian government over queer mods on its platform. Public information suggests it is still unavailable in the country, though I can not independently confirm this.
I found a sex ad on... #MODRINTH !?
I happen to stumble upon a collection on Modrinth, a #minecraft mod distribution platform. Said collection has a Chinese title and description that roughly translates to "Changsha Prostitute (WeChat: ****, Door-to-door service)"
The collection contains only 1 mod, Fabric API, so we can assume the title and description were the entire purpose of its existence.
This discovery awakened an observation I had on Modrinth, which is that Modrinth seems to have a higher ratio of Chinese content compared to Curseforge. If you check the modpacks page on Modrinth, you can see 2 modpacks on the 1st page with Chinese title or description.
Does the Modrinth team have the people to monitor content in different languages? (Hire me lol)

Made my first ever Minecraft (1.7.10) mod, World Accelerator, and got it listed on Modrinth! https://modrinth.com/mod/world-accelerator
It's a block that increases random and block entity tick rates. Tl;dr, it makes furnaces run faster and plants grow quicker. It's more useful for modded Minecraft than survival, but then I did make this block specifically to speed up Forestry apiaries. :blobreach:
It's open source too, if you wish to have a look how I managed to wrangle Java 8 and Forge as a non-Java developer: https://codeberg.org/chronocide/World-Accelerator
I just tried the Modrinth App again, and it’s way better than last time I tried. My go-to has been PrismLauncher, but either I missed some feature or switching mc version with mods isn’t trivial.

On 30 September 2025, the Minecraft modding platform @modrinth restricted access to four mods at the request of the Russian government. The next day, they reversed the decision. Over a month later, there are many unanswered questions.
#Minecraft #MinecraftModding #Modrinth #Russia #Censorship #LGBTQIA
This needs more attention: Russia is starting to threat websites and ask them to comply with censoring queer content. It's a good thing that #modrinth stands up for its values, which is awesome, but they are definitely not the only website that gets these kind of threats. Most likely only comply with it and don't talk about it.
This is something that definitely should be more reported about.

https://modrinth.com/news/article/standing-by-our-values
According to Modrinth, the Russian government had reached out to them via email, stating the mods were "Internet web-sites containing the information prohibited for public distribution in the Russian Federation".
After they informed the Russian government the mods were taken down, they received one further message saying the takedown could not be verified. They have received no subsequent messages.
Thanks to Modrinth for providing this information to me.
Modrinth, a platform for sharing Minecraft mods, says it is restoring for queer-related mods it previously removed at the request of the Russian government.

I've spent the last week making a gigantic update for my tinkers' melting recipe compat #datapack:
https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/data-packs/melting-recipe-compatibility/files/6895525
https://modrinth.com/datapack/melting-recipe-compatibility/version/2.2
I added support for over 50 mods and fixes several issues. Figured I'd do a huge update before porting it to 1.19 & 1.20.
VampireReborn - сборка, основанная на теме вампиров, кроме того в дополнение к основному игровому пути, есть технологическая и исследовательская ветка.

apparently if someone on modrinth has a unaproved mod and you have it in a modpack on the modrinth app, it will list the mod as if it where aproved and it all just works as normal
Forgot to mention that the updated version of my old mod is now live on #Modrinth !
Fuzepack is on the way, a lightpack small vanilla like modpack for my Fuzecraft world and for those who want a vanilla like experience with some optimizations, along with quality of life things, especially for playing on your solo worlds with friends.
