En el paganismo, esta festividad representa el triunfo de la luz sobre la oscuridad, el día más largo del año, la abundancia, la fertilidad de la tierra y el momento de máxima fuerza de la naturaleza. ¡Feliz inicio de semana para todos! Qué gran vibra empezar el lunes celebrando el solsticio y un muy feliz Litha.
Por mi parte, les cuento que ya cumplí con el desayuno de los campeones: me acabo de comer un tamalito delicioso y ahora mismo estoy disfrutando de un rico cafecito para terminar de despertar por completo. No hay mejor forma de arrancar la rutina y llenarse de energía que con la barriga llena y el corazón contento. Espero que tengan un lunes excelente, que la semana los trate increíble y que alcancen todas sus metas desde hoy.

Happy Solstice everyone!
The weather is perfect today, a little chilly at 64F (18C) but that is excellent for hiking, so I'll be spending most of the day outdoors walking the trails.This season, like the last two summers, I'll be making offerings and doing devotions for the Dagda. Since he is known for rebalancing the seasons when they're off, I think he's been getting wider recognition and has been more "present" lately, if that makes sense. He's not technically a sun god, but the beginning of the summer season is a good place to start when it comes to the changing climate.
First up this morning was getting out to greet the sun, and one of the first things I noticed was all the ripe wild strawberries around the yard! I picked a handful, leaving most for the animals, and made a couple tablespoons of syrup to put on ice cream after dinner tonight.

[3615 my life] A chaque jour de #litha j'essai de faire que ce moment particulier soit le plus riche possible.
Pour cette année, la journée commençait par un peu de #streetworkout dans le village de mes parents avant de regagner #Blois par le train. Passage à notre belle Bibliothéque où j'en ai profité pour emprunter quelques classiques*.
Puis, visite rapide à un pote qui lutte contre la leucemie accompagné d'un autre pote. Repas du midi chez Pho41 (fr.restaurantguru.com/Bkf-Blois) avec ce dernier, avant de jouer 2h30 au billard au FamilyGameCenter (familygamescenter.fr).
Retour chez mes parents pour faire un court #Running à Chambord, avant de faire un rapide passage à la #fetedelamusique

Se acerca el 21 de junio y con ello una de las fechas más mágicas del año: ¡Litha! Para la comunidad pagana es un momento enorme, pero la verdad es que es una festividad súper interesante para cualquiera, aunque no seas practicante. ☀️🌾
¿Qué representa exactamente? Litha celebra el solsticio de verano, el día más largo del año. Es el punto donde el sol alcanza su máxima fuerza, llenando todo de luz, abundancia y fertilidad. Básicamente, es una fiesta de puro agradecimiento a la naturaleza, donde se celebra el triunfo de la luz sobre la oscuridad antes de que los días empiecen a acortarse otra vez.
¿Cómo se festeja? La tradición está llenísima de vida. La gente suele encender hogueras (fuegos de Litha) para simbolizar el poder del sol, saltando sobre las brasas para buscar purificación y buena suerte. También se acostumbra recolectar hierbas medicinales y mágicas justo en la mañana del solsticio, porque se cree que su energía está al máximo. Las casas se decoran con flores amarillas, girasoles y altares llenos de frutas de temporada.
¿Por qué es importante? Más allá de los rituales, Litha nos invita a conectar con los ritmos de la Tierra. Nos recuerda celebrar nuestros propios logros (nuestra propia "cosecha" interna) y recargar energías con el calor del verano para todo lo que viene. Es el pretexto perfecto para salir, respirar aire fresco, convivir y agradecer que estamos aquí. ¿Ustedes sabían de esta celebración? 🌿🔥
