#Sørgelig - Sørgelig

https://sorgelig.bandcamp.com/album/s-rgelig

Depressive/Suicidal #blackmetal (short #dsbm) from #greece with an intense #atmosphere of #insanity and well executed high shrieks. Was hooked from the first listen and didn't hesitate too long before getting it. The buildup towards the end of the last song "Below the Ashes" is just unreal.

#Korgonthurus - every album since 2016

see my #bandcamp profile for the music. Here it's time for some lp and merch bragging instead

#CultOfFire - मृत्यु का तापसी अनुध्यान (Ascetic Meditation of Death)

https://cultoffire.bandcamp.com/album/-

When I first found this band, I immediately labeled it the #czech #Batushka, the similarity being that both bands blend #blackmetal with #spiritual / #religious music. Cult of Fire, however, has a #hinduistic theme and they call their music #vedic #metal. Thereby one could associate them more with the #psychedelic bm genre. Intrigued me at first listen.

#Hatefuel - Abomination

https://hatefuel1.bandcamp.com/releases

newcomer #deathmetal | #grindcore from #finland. Convinced to get this with the first listen, not because of the shilling :p and I'm not even that much into death metal.

#Goatchrist - Pythagoras

#avantgarde | #progressive #blackmetal from #england. It's actually not often that an avantgarde band is just weird enough to fit my taste - this one does. The album's lyrics quite literally cover #pythagorean #philosophy and #metaphysics.

#TemplumAnimaMorti - ⍢χ͔Ω ΣằğΩþ χ͔åᵲằǻϻ

And the rest of their discography. The latest release is a unrelenting, blast beat heavy approach to #psychedelic #blackmetal, while the other realeses are more in the vein of #Marduk. The tracks may be short, but the album is best digested as a single long track.

The band originates from #Russia.

#Almyrkvi - Umbra

Blackened #doommetal / atmospheric #blackmetal from #Iceland with cosmic themes, industrial elements and a gripping atmosphere that concludes in a crushing resolve upon the crossing of the black hole's event horizon.

https://almyrkvi.bandcamp.com/album/umbra

favorite track: 03 - Severed Pillars of Life

#LatestMusicPurchase

#Abkehr - In Feuer

Intense "modern" raw #blackmetal from #germany. This record has some slower songs than their first ep. Both are #nameyourprice on #Bandcamp.

favorite track: 03 - |||

#Adaestuo - Krew Za Krew ("blood for blood" in polish)

Exceptional ambient #blackmetal with the best #female bm vocals I've encountered yet. It's an #international band with members from #poland, #finland and #USA.

Half of the album consists of pure #ambient tracks in the vein of ritualistic invocations. The whole record manages to convey a feeling of sinister transcendence.

https://wtcproductions.bandcamp.com/album/krew-za-krew

favorite track: 05 - Death Transition

#LatestMusicPurchase

#Moondweller - The Search

Heavily #Darkspace inspired atmospheric #blackmetal project from #Russia. The name can be taken literally, at least to me this sounds like a version of Darkspace, that stopped at the moon and would still capture some earth-like audio. Actual lyrics are also included.
