@pluralistic Good point. And it’s not a ‘only in Hollywood’ career. Local tv companies’ news crews, local ad firms, etc. hit this wall: A friend’s career has largely been for local tv / radio / streaming ads, working out of his home. He shoots in 4k, shares with remote clients, digitally crops, etc.

I've been saying it for a minute, yelled at some on #mastodon. Same for #waymo, it is safer, the cars just drive better. It is not all the #AI, some of it is lidar and networks that allow the AI to see many blocks/many miles ahead.

This is the first industrial #killerapp of the #AI era, but more are coming for manufacturing jobs. And yes, if you are any kind of spreadsheet jockey like a medical coder, or a monkey developer (you convert a spec to a language) do worry!

it happens on almost every website i visit. i get anywhere from 2-4 paragraphs into the article/story and a window pops up interrupting my reading. it's worse than that obnoxious twit walking next you who pokes you in the arm every 30 seconds
