And now back on land and heading home. Was a short paddle today. Water was a bit rough in spots due to boat traffic, but was lovely overall.

Le lac à la Pêche est la principale source d'eau potable de la Ville de Shawinigan. Il mesure plus de 5 km de long.
Avant la création du parc en 1970, le secteur du lac à la Pêche abritait le Laurentian Club, fondé en 1886. C'était l'un des clubs privés de chasse et de pêche les plus sélects et prestigieux d'Amérique du Nord.

J'ai décidé de prendre des mardis de congé... sur l'eau !
D'une longueur de 15 km, le lac Wapizagonke est situé à l'extrémité ouest du Parc national de la Mauricie.
Ce lac sauvage, tout en longueur, est entouré de forêt et de montagnes aux falaises majestueuses.
En Abénaqui, le lac est désigné Wawibizagak et signifie «entouré par la brousse».
