    I have an old surface studio laptop that I absolutely love, but one of the fans started sounding like a chainsaw.

    No problem, I'll open it up and lubricate the fan or replace it.

    However there are 8000 glued on strips of plastic or foil that I'm definitely not getting back on. 🤞 hopefully it's all cosmetic.

    White lithium grease on the fan bearing. Reassembled and silent with good flow. Foil and rubber feet trashed 😞
