#Goutweed aka ground elder isn't related to sambucus at all but their #flowers are almost identical.

Native to Europe & Asia, introduced as ornamental plant. It has a history as a #medicinal #herb to treat #gout & #arthritis; applied in hot wraps externally - with its boiled leaves & roots. Leaves, before flowering, can be eaten like spinach.
