Mach-O Man Malware: What CISOs Need to Know

Lazarus Group is conducting an active campaign targeting businesses through ClickFix attacks, distributing a newly identified macOS malware kit called "Mach-O Man". The attack begins with fake meeting invitations via Telegram, redirecting victims to fraudulent collaboration platforms impersonating Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Google Meet. Victims are tricked into executing terminal commands that install the malware. The kit consists of Go-based Mach-O binaries including a stager, profiler, persistence mechanism, and stealer. The malware collects credentials, browser data, and macOS Keychain entries, exfiltrating data through Telegram. Primary targets include fintech, crypto, and high-value environments where macOS is prevalent. The campaign leverages social engineering and native macOS binaries to evade traditional EDR detection, ultimately enabling account takeover, unauthorized infrastructure access, and financial loss.

Ile razy zdarzyło Ci się łączyć na poranną wideokonferencję, stojąc w korku w drodze do biura? Google postanowiło ucywilizować ten proces i zintegrowało komunikator Meet z systemem Apple CarPlay.

Co ciekawe, gigant z Mountain View najpierw zadbał o kierowców z iPhone’ami – ci z Androidem muszą uzbroić się w cierpliwość.

Do tej pory uczestnictwo w spotkaniach na Google Meet podczas prowadzenia auta wymagało żonglowania telefonem, przełączania zestawów głośnomówiących i niepotrzebnego odrywania wzroku od drogi. Nowa aktualizacja przenosi interfejs komunikatora bezpośrednio na ekran systemu inforozrywki w samochodzie.

Bezpieczeństwo przede wszystkim: tylko audio

Zgodnie z przewidywaniami, wersja Google Meet dla Apple CarPlay została znacznie odchudzona ze względów bezpieczeństwa. Priorytetem jest to, by kierowca patrzył na drogę, a nie na prezentację w PowerPoincie. Jak to działa w praktyce?

Kamera jest domyślnie wyłączona i nie widzisz obrazu z kamer innych uczestników. Całe spotkanie odbywa się wyłącznie w formie głosowej. Na ekranie samochodu zobaczysz tylko swój harmonogram nadchodzących spotkań, przycisk do szybkiego dołączania oraz duże, łatwe do trafienia palcem ikony wyciszania mikrofonu i opuszczania rozmowy.

Z poziomu CarPlay nie ma też dostępu do czatu tekstowego, ankiet, podnoszenia ręki czy sekcji Q&A. Google zadbało o płynne przejście – jeśli zaczniesz spotkanie na telefonie i wsiądziesz do auta, aplikacja automatycznie przełączy się w tryb „On-the-Go”, a dźwięk płynnie przeniesie się ze słuchawek lub głośnika smartfona na system audio samochodu.

Gdzie jest wersja na Android Auto?

Paradoksalnie, nowość od Google trafia najpierw na ekrany użytkowników systemu Apple. Gigant z Mountain View potwierdził jedynie, że użytkownicy Android Auto mogą spodziewać się swojej wersji „wkrótce”, nie podając jednak żadnych konkretnych dat.

Aktualizacja dla Apple CarPlay jest już udostępniana globalnie. Aby z niej skorzystać, wystarczy upewnić się, że mamy zainstalowaną najnowszą wersję aplikacji Google Meet na swoim iPhonie. Nowość dotyczy wszystkich – zarówno użytkowników darmowych kont prywatnych, jak i subskrybentów pakietów Google Workspace.

Echt? Das fällt denen jetzt auf. 2018 war Trump auch an der Macht.

My recommendation: Forget UA spoofing. You're in an abusive relationship with an MNC. Any opportunity you provide them will be used to abuse your #freedom, #privacy and #security. Never adjust yourself to accommodate them. It's a game you can't win.

Just abandon #Chrome and other chrome based browsers, #GoogleMeet and any other #Google services. Migrate to an ethical service provider. It's always worth it in the long run.
