Spent the last week in the outer banks of North Carolina.

The #Hatteras light is currently completely encased in scaffolding as the NPS is restoring the ironwork, repairing the masonry and repainting the brick. But, they have also commissioned a replica of its first-order #Fresnel lens, which is exciting!

Since I couldn't see my favorite #lighthouse I had to be content with the #Bodie Island light, which looks beautiful as always and also sports a first-order Fresnel lens.
