Dokumenty UE ujawniają żywotność baterii w Galaxy Z Fold 8. Mniejsza liczba cykli na papierze
Unijna baza danych EPREL ujawniła oficjalne parametry energetyczne najnowszych składanych smartfonów Samsunga.
Z dokumentów certyfikacyjnych wynika, że Galaxy Z Fold 8 oraz Z Flip 8 charakteryzują się niższą deklarowaną żywotnością baterii niż ich poprzednicy. W sieci natychmiast ruszyła fala spekulacji, jednak fakty rynkowe nakazują zachować powściągliwość.
Baza EPREL nie kłamie. Co mówią unijne etykiety?
Zgodnie z najnowszymi wytycznymi Unii Europejskiej dotyczącymi rozporządzenia o ekoprojekcie i etykietowaniu energetycznym, producenci smartfonów muszą ujawniać dokładne parametry dotyczące trwałości ogniw. Zgłoszenia w bazie EPREL dla modeli z serii Galaxy Z Fold 8 oraz Z Flip 8 wskazują na żywotność rzędu 1200 cykli ładowania do momentu spadku pojemności baterii do 80%.
To zauważalna zmiana w porównaniu do ubiegłorocznego Galaxy Z Fold 7, którego specyfikacja w unijnych rejestrach mówiła o 2000 cykli. Mimo tego spadku, nowe składaki Samsunga wciąż uzyskują wysokie oceny na unijnych etykietach energetycznych, a deklarowany wynik 1200 cykli nadal przewyższa standardy stosowane m.in. przez Apple czy Google (promujące zazwyczaj 1000 cykli).
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 – flagowa funkcjonalność z AI na pokładzie
Spekulacje o chemii ogniw kontra oficjalne stanowisko
Wielu zachodnich analityków i blogerów technologicznych natychmiast przypisało ten spadek rzekomemu przejściu Samsunga na technologię krzemowo-węglową (Silicon-Carbon). Powszechnie wiadomo, że ogniwa tego typu pozwalają zwiększyć gęstość energii bez zwiększania grubości urządzenia, ale bywają podatne na szybszą degradację chemiczną.
Należy jednak mocno podkreślić: Samsung podczas oficjalnej prezentacji sprzętu nie potwierdził zastosowania ogniw krzemowo-węglowych. Inżynierowie koreańskiego giganta konsekwentnie mówili o ewolucji dopracowanych ogniw litowo-jonowych, stawiając na pierwszym miejscu bezpieczeństwo oraz stabilność konstrukcji. Wiązanie niższego wyniku cykli EPREL z nową chemią baterii pozostaje na ten moment jedynie niepotwierdzoną hipotezą branżowych mediów, a nie oficjalnym stanowiskiem koreańskiego giganta.
Swoją drogą warto zwrócić uwagę, że wprowadzenie obowiązkowych etykiet EPREL w Unii Europejskiej to doskonały sprawdzian dla branży mobilnej. Zamiast opierać się na marketingowych deklaracjach o „całodniowej pracy”, czytelnicy otrzymują twarde dane laboratoryjne. Niezależnie od tego, czy spadek deklarowanych cykli wynika z ostrzejszych procedur testowych UE, czy ze zmian w architekturze wewnętrznej urządzeń, Samsung musiał wpisać do oficjalnych dokumentów niższą wartość. I to są fakty, a nie branżowe zgadywanki.

Aufklärung bringt eine Suche nach der Modellnummer, die dann meist zur Herstellerseite führt. Dort sind seit ein paar Tagen auch schon die Energielabels recht prominent positoniert (hier z.B. das #iPhone 16e von #Apple). Ein Klick auf das Label öffnet das Produktdatenblatt und dort findet sich dann auch die Modellnummer wieder, mit der das Gerät in der #EPREL Datenbank registriert ist. 2/2
