Seit 2 Tagen versuche ich verzweifelt, #Diarium über #WebDAV mit meiner #Diskstation zu verbinden. Jedes Mal kommt die Fehlermeldung "Netzverbindung unterbrochen". Da es aber vorher funktioniert hat und andere Programme und Apps einwandfrei funktionieren, bin ich ratlos.
Bis ich gerade die eingegebene IP für das #NAS mit der im Broweser gespeicherten vergleiche: ein ZAHLENDREHER, ein ganz primitiver Zahlendreher! 🤦♂️
Diese Computertechnik und ich weden echt keine Freunde.

Das war dann leider nichts, die iOS Apps sind einfach nichts für den Alltag, jedenfalls nicht für mich.
Neuer Versuch, mit DS Note. Hier sind die iOS Apps besser, der Desktop Client für Linux ist auch brauchbar, nur die Synchronisation ist etwas langsam. Ok, die Diskstation ist auch nicht unbedingt die Stärkste aber es reicht.
Mal sehen wie sich das ganze im Alltag schlägt.

Looking at ways to replace my elderly & noisy #diskstation with a silent #SSD #NAS...
Hardware: #raspberrypi 5 with a #geekworm X1004 SSD hat in a Geekworm P579 case, with a 480Gb NVMe stick from a defunct laptop, running Pi OS lite.
Software: tried #OpenMediaVault 7, too many crashes & hangs, total dog's breakfast. Looked at #CasaOS but don't trust the privacy policy.
Think I'll just set up #Samba via #SSH and forget fancy web GUIs. I seem to be more confident with the shell these days.

Gibt es Empfehlungen für einen #Passwortmanager, den ich selber hosten kann, der über verschiedene Geräte synchronisieren kann, u.a. iOS/ iPadOS, macOS, Linux und idealerweise auch Windows? Die zentrale Instanz sollte auf einer #Docker fähigen #Synology #Diskstation laufen können, mehrere User unterstützen und sich aktiv in der Entwicklung befinden. #FLOSS ist klar. Ich möchte 1Password gerne ablösen.

#synology will auf meinem System einfach mal deinstallieren, wie es beliebt?
Und ich stimme durch Weiternutzung des Paketzentrums zu? Ja ähm ohne Paketzentrum ist das Gesamtpaket quasi nicht benutzbar.Das finde ich ja nicht so nett und war beim Kauf auch nicht vereinbart. Wo kann ich das Teil zurückgeben?

What should I do with my old #synology DS1812? I love it as just a dumb storage option, considering it’s age, but I wonder what the lifespan of the components are around the drives and what risk I’m running there.
I’m not currently using it for anything critical, and it is filled with just 3TB drives.. but I don’t want to try selling it either.

So, habe nun einen #ConBee II bestellt, dazu #Aqara Temperatursensoren (3 an der Zahl) und hoffe das alles mit meinem #HASS (Home Assistant) verbinden zu können, der auf einer #Synology #DiskStation läuft und mit #DSM 7 aber gar keine #USB Sticks mehr unterstützt (wo es aber Anleitungen gibt, das wieder zum Laufen zu bringen).
Also ein komplettes Setup, was an jeder Stelle manuelle Eingriffe benötigt.

@tmstr79 Seit 2 Jahren #Bitwarden, zuhause gehostet auf meiner #Synology #Diskstation, Apps für alle Endgeräte und Browser, die sich synchronisieren. Keine Passwörter in fremden Clouds.

Wanted a grafana/prometheus collector, but didn't want to dig around in my rack to revive a machine for it.
