Seit 2 Tagen versuche ich verzweifelt, #Diarium über #WebDAV mit meiner #Diskstation zu verbinden. Jedes Mal kommt die Fehlermeldung "Netzverbindung unterbrochen". Da es aber vorher funktioniert hat und andere Programme und Apps einwandfrei funktionieren, bin ich ratlos.
Bis ich gerade die eingegebene IP für das #NAS mit der im Broweser gespeicherten vergleiche: ein ZAHLENDREHER, ein ganz primitiver Zahlendreher! 🤦♂️
Diese Computertechnik und ich weden echt keine Freunde.

Day two of running the instance on my #Synology #DiskStation 224+ and I have to say I’m pretty impressed with the results. No, the performance isn’t going to blow your socks off and there’s the occasional lag but for a single-user instance it’s more than adequate—even for a heavy user like myself. It’d be cool if Synology would support an official app.
Technical note: The RAM on my DS was upgraded to 6GB, the VM that runs the instance is allotted 2GB.

Planned Obsolescence or Happy Accidents?
After I've now had the second device with some design flaw that causes it to fail just slightly outside of the warranty period, I wanted to write down my experiences. Synology DS415+ and the Intel Atom C2000 clock signal issue Back in January 2015, I've bought a Synology DiskStation DS415+. Die #DISKSTATION hatte gestern 23:15 Uhr irgendein Problem.
Nutzeroberfläche nicht erreichbar, IP für Ping nicht erreichbar, #PiHole down, DHCP down, Internet down, #homeassistant down…
Das ist Mist. Weder weiß ich, warum, noch hat sich das System automatisch „gefangen“. Ich musste die DS per Taste herunterfahren und neustarten und nach 10 Minuten ging dann wieder alles.
Ich guck mal nach nem Intel Nuc. Ist eh komfortabler als alles via Docker. Oder gleich HA #Green?

Ich möchte 1Password gerne ablösen.

Hab mich inzwischen weiter mit #homeassistant befasst. Ich hab derzeit das System via Docker auf der #Diskstation laufen, was auch sehr gut funktioniert, was aber sehr umständlich zu konfigurieren war, wenn man AddOns nutzen will (will man unbedingt). Zumal sämtliche Tutorials im Home Assistant OS gezeigt werden, weil es eben viel bequemer ist.

What should I do with my old #synology DS1812? I love it as just a dumb storage option, considering it’s age, but I wonder what the lifespan of the components are around the drives and what risk I’m running there.
I’m not currently using it for anything critical, and it is filled with just 3TB drives.. but I don’t want to try selling it either.
