I don't think #DailyDev pricing is "outrageus", but it's very pricey for what the offer: a start page.

I they lowered down their price to $1~4, sure why not, but I guess it's not an incentive considering the money advertisers will pay to be seen by (allegedly) thousands of software developers.

Hit me with alternatives for a #StartPage.
