  1. The Verge: Microsoft’s Edge Copilot update uses AI to pull information from across your tabs. “Microsoft Edge is adding a new feature that will allow its Copilot AI chatbot to gather information from all of your open tabs. When you start a conversation with Copilot, you can ask the chatbot questions about what’s in your tabs, compare the products you’re looking at, summarize your open […]

  10. Researchers found Microsoft Edge loads every saved password into plaintext memory at launch, increasing exposure after session compromise 🔐
Unlike other Chromium browsers, Edge keeps credentials readable in RAM, raising scraping risks on shared and admin-access systems 🛡️

  19. Ran into a problem downloading the new version of QGIS in Edge today. There is a complicated "SmartScreen" system intended to make it difficult to download new software like this. Thanks to a UI bug the dropdown menu is hidden, so it is not possible to work around it. Eventually I gave up and used Firefox instead. #QGIS #MicrosoftEdge

  20. ICYMI: A security researcher recently published a working tool that extracts credentials stored in Microsoft Edge directly from the browser's parent process memory. No exploit is needed – just sufficient system privileges.

This is the kind of threat Keeper Security is designed to help address. In addition to our secure and encrypted password manager, Keeper Forcefield blocks unauthorized memory access at the kernel level – so even if a machine is compromised, there's nothing to extract.

  25. Your browser might be exposing your passwords in memory.

New research shows Microsoft Edge loads all saved passwords into RAM in plaintext, even when you’re not using them, making them easier to extract by malware or attackers with local access.

Microsoft says this behavior is “by design.”

    Convenience vs security… again.

  30. Microsoft Edge keeps all saved passwords in cleartext in RAM for the entire session, making memory scraping easier for attackers 🖥️
The behavior is “by design,” unlike Chrome, and highlights the risks of storing credentials in browsers instead of using password managers 🔑
