Daher:

Das Blocken oder Stummschalten ist eine höchst individuelle Entscheidung von jedem Menschen hier im Fediverse (und anderswo) und sollte grundsätzlich nie in Frage gestellt werden, wer dieses Mittel, wie stark und oft, anwendet. Egal wie (un)sensibel das einem erscheint, das ist eine persönliche Sache. Punkt.

Man kann mit der Entscheidung unzufrieden sein, aber man sollte deswegen keine Vorwürfe äußern. Das ist respektlos, weil damit die Grenzen anderer in Frage gestellt werden, die sich schützen möchten.

Il nome sembra già un programma:

International Blasphemy Rights Day

in italiano Giornata Internazionale del Diritto alla Bestemmia. Una ricorrenza decisamente particolare, che ogni anno cade il 30 settembre e che ha un’origine ben precisa, legata non tanto all’idea di offendere la religione, quanto piuttosto a quella di difendere la libertà di espressione.

Perché proprio il 30 settembre?

Il 30 settembre 2005 vennero pubblicate, in Danimarca, le famose vignette satiriche su Maometto, che accesero un dibattito mondiale su quanto la satira, l’arte e l’opinione potessero spingersi oltre senza rischiare di sfociare nell’offesa. Insomma, un giorno che ha segnato la storia della libertà di parola, dando vita a una discussione globale tutt’altro che chiusa.

Chi ha deciso questa giornata e quando è nata?

Il merito va al Center for Inquiry, un’organizzazione internazionale laica e umanista che nel 2009 lanciò ufficialmente questa giornata. L’idea era quella di incoraggiare le persone a parlare liberamente, anche quando le loro opinioni potevano risultare “scomode” o giudicate irriverenti da alcuni. In poche parole: una difesa del pensiero critico e del diritto a non essere messi a tacere solo perché si sfiora un tema considerato “sacro”.

Questa giornata è promossa soprattutto nei Paesi occidentali, in particolare negli Stati Uniti e in Canada, dove il concetto di libertà di espressione è spesso messo sul piedistallo come diritto inalienabile. Ma negli anni è riuscita a farsi conoscere anche in Europa, con eventi universitari, dibattiti pubblici e persino spettacoli comici dedicati al tema. In Italia non è molto diffusa, ma non mancano blog, festival e associazioni culturali che ne approfittano per ricordare che la libertà di parola non dovrebbe conoscere tabù.

Cosa si fa durante l’International Blasphemy Rights Day?

Non aspettatevi cortei di gente che grida improperi al cielo. Piuttosto, il 30 settembre si organizzano dibattiti, conferenze, performance artistiche, spettacoli teatrali e mostre satiriche. In alcune università americane vengono promossi contest di scrittura, vignette e stand-up comedy, con studenti pronti a sfidare i tabù con ironia e intelligenza.
E, naturalmente, non manca chi approfitta della giornata per lanciarsi in qualche “provocazione social” che finisce per diventare virale.

Curiosità da ogni parte del mondo

• In Irlanda, fino a pochi anni fa, esisteva addirittura una legge sulla bestemmia punibile con multe salatissime. Dopo molte polemiche, nel 2018, il Paese ha detto addio a questa norma con un referendum: un bel tempismo, visto che la ricorrenza internazionale ne aveva acceso i riflettori.
• In Grecia, la bestemmia era considerata reato penale fino a tempi recentissimi, con casi finiti persino in tribunale per sketch comici o meme su Facebook.
• Negli Stati Uniti, alcuni comici hanno fatto del “blasfemo ironico” la loro bandiera, trasformando questa giornata in un’occasione per spettacoli sold-out.
• Persino online la giornata ha i suoi rituali: c’è chi ogni anno pubblica il proprio “blasfemo preferito” (rigorosamente ironico) come fosse una citazione d’autore.

Una giornata da prendere con ironia

Più che un inno alla bestemmia, questa giornata è un promemoria che la libertà di parola non deve fermarsi davanti ai tabù. Certo, la sensibilità va rispettata – nessuno invita a offendere gratuitamente – ma ricordare che anche le idee più irriverenti hanno diritto di esistere è un modo per mantenere viva la democrazia.

E se il 30 settembre qualcuno vi dirà che oggi è la “festa della bestemmia”, sorridete: non è un invito a imprecare contro il cielo, ma a ricordare che la vera forza sta nel poter parlare liberamente… magari con un pizzico di ironia e senza prendersi troppo sul serio.

il punto non è se sei paranoico… il punto è se sei abbastanza paranoico (“strange days”, 1995) / differx. 2025 (aprile)

sì: sarò paranoico ma certo – mettendo i fatti in fila – non è che ci si senta proprio al settimo cielo della sicurezza personale e collettiva, per non parlare della produzione di senso, individuale e di gruppo. l’obiettivo, ricordiamocelo, non è solo l’auspicato rovesciamento dello stato di cose presente, ma anche – e sempre – la costruzione di situazioni qui e ora. la costruzione e condivisione di senso.

e: le istituzioni sono i nemici frontali delle situazioni. si comincia (o si continua) a doverle rifiutare tutte. o qualcosa del genere. 

ecco insomma la fila dei fatti, incompleta, per mia distrazione, sicuramente :

• il (p)residente della repubblica delle banane firma e dunque vara (è complice del varo di) un decreto “sicurezza” che in pratica istituisce lo stato di polizia, e dà ancora maggiori protezioni a quelle stesse forze neofasciste e repressive che – più o meno pilotate dai servizi segreti statunitensi – negli scorsi settant’anni hanno commesso in Italia un gran numero di ormai notissimi crimini, esecuzioni, stragi, depistaggi, accordi con le mafie eccetera; e che – soprattutto con Genova 2001 – si sono riprese pienamente il campo squadristico storico, ‘arricchito’ dalle esperienze della macelleria delle dittature sudamericane;
• la medesima repubblica delle medesime banane non solo intrattiene ottimi rapporti (anche economici e militari) con israele e con la sua natura e prassi genocida e razzista, ma attua energicamente il razzismo e la deportazione anche in casa propria (cpr, lager in Albania, permanenza della legge Bossi Fini eccetera);
• la compagine neofascista del goveno della stessa repubblica delle stesse banane ha da tempo occupato e blindato posti chiave nell’informazione e distribuzione dell’informazione generalista (per non parlare dell’editoria, della distribuzione e di canali video non ‘pubblici’: proprietà diretta del defunto referente politico della mafia celebrato con funerali di Stato due anni fa); 
• la detta compagine si avvia a completare il piano piduista di Gelli, sottomettendo la gestione della giustizia alle esigenze del governo e dei suoi padrini e padroni criminali; così come si avvierà presto a finire di smantellare sanità e scuola pubbliche, per ulteriormente accentuare la natura classista delle opportunità effettive di accesso a salute e istruzione;
• in tutto questo, la sinistra istituzionale, segnatamente il PD, è incerto se oscilli più tra cretinismo e connivenza, o tra connivenza lassista e connivenza attivamente complice; 
• il caso Paragon, il software usato da forze (non identificate) dello Stato per spiare giornalisti, attivisti e altri individui, ri-chiarisce perfettamente, se ce ne fosse bisogno, che le istituzioni – tutte – non si sono mai fatte né si fanno tutt’ora il minimo scrupolo di ricorrere a mezzi illegali e invasivi per spiare i cittadini, non importa se coinvolti in attività politiche o meno; (le stesse tecnologie che permettono lo spionaggio – e magari il furto e la vendita di dati sensibili – permettono anche, si può immaginare, la fabbricazione di false prove e accuse contro chiunque);
• Meta fa attivamente shadowbanning e boicottaggio di post e account filopalestinesi sia su facebook che su instagram, nonostante soprattutto instagram sia una fonte ricchissima di informazioni che riescono – a valanghe: per pressione quantitativa – a sfuggire ai filtri e a trasmettere in diretta il genocidio che israele commette ai danni di Palestinesi;
• Meta ti obbliga alla sua IA, installata su whatsapp, e non è ancora chiaro se e come ci sarà una possibilità di opt-out, né quanto e come (e con quali garanzie e chiarezza) sarà o già ora è possibile tener fuori il naso di Zucko dalle nostre conversazioni private, le nostre foto, i video, gli appunti, le opinioni, insomma dai sacrosanti cazzi nostri;
• Google e Microsoft hanno fornito e forniscono tecnologie di IA e supporto cloud alle forze israeliane per il massacro dei Palestinesi; sono gli stessi Google e Microsoft che ospitano e gestiscono percentuali spaventose di materiali e informazioni dai e sui cittadini di (praticamente) tutto il mondo; per non parlare di Meta, daccapo; in quali mani siamo?
