  1. It says that it will be available for other Canadian cities really soon. It can't come to Edmonton fast enough, especially with all the construction making for some pretty awkward detours and routing.

  3. Sime time ago I mentioned of a #OsmAnd profile I find quite useful for cycling. The profiles called #CycleRoute is partially inspired in #CyclOSM & is described here:
    github.com/OsmAnd-Rendering/Cy
Here u can find the instructions to install this and other profiles (for example a hiking profile):
    github.com/OsmAnd-Rendering/.g

It is pretty straightforward downloading a file, opening with OsmAnd and importing the profile.

I like to have as default this profile with a CyclOSM overlay as shown in the pictures

  5. @Nicovel0 yeah, surprising it's still #NCN after the bonfire of routes. Norfolk lost 42% of its routes in that, including some OK but leaving some off-road rubbish. The B road I grumbled about isn't a #cycleRoute but is an obvious desire line and second-best of five poor options into east of #kingsLynn. The best IMO is miles longer so I understand use of B road. Shame the police won't police it.

  7. What do people use for cycling directions? I’ve usually used #GoogleMaps because it shows bike lanes, but #AppleMaps actually uses bike lanes correctly when creating directions. Seems especially true of #ContraFlow cycle tracks.

Example below showing a route that should use the new Winona bike lane.

  9. As has become a sort of tradition for this time of year, today we went on a longer #bike ride. Our journey took us on a trip from home to #Okehampton and then along the #NCN27 to #Tavistock and then on to #Plymouth. Part of that #CycleRoute is called #DrakesTrail and has many interesting #bridges on it. The one pictured (with me on it) here is called #GemBridge and is a #steel #arch which was only opened in #2012.
