As I got a new #bike, I installed a new #cadence sensor (as I forgot to move over the old one when trading it in), and noticed they recommended a cadence of 100+
Like wtf?!? Do those people not have gears? Just came back from a ride with an average cadence of 56 and 23,6 km/h, and doubling those seems insane (though adding 20% wouldn't be bad).
Does anybody else have strong opinions about cadence? Or perhaps #lawn care or #couches or other important topics? -

Our old sofa is on its last legs, and now I'm remembering why I've given up on trying to replace it so many times. All the modular sofa makes, while claiming to be so flexible, are anything but.

Let me say that again in case you didn't hear me, furniture manufacturers: spaces do not come in perfect integer increments of 39 inches.
They just don't.
And who the fuck are some of these makers kidding with their online customization tools? Joybird's in particular is laughably bad. Lovesac's is decent, but they have an integer multiple problem.

For my #throwbackthursday, I have a series of photos that happened exactly 2 years ago #today.
They are the #last 4 #photos of a #house my #mother lived in for many years. Her second #husband decided to divorce so my #wife and I drove the 40 minutes to her house to help her move out. We spent 2 days packing up #trucks and saying #goodbye to the #house we loved so much. A massive backyard, built in #bunkbeds for the #kids, and enough room for 3 #families to spend #holidays #together. But that day, it was empty hallways, boxes on #tables, and a comfy #couches we would never sit in again. I still miss the house every holiday.
I know my #Mom is #happier now and she got a great small house about 4 hours away near my oldest #brother and his #kids. I've called several buildings home over my 40 years and it's always hard to say #goodbye, but necessary.
