I'm disappointed, as a (primarily KDE Plasma) user, that #BudgieDesktop has decided to go with #qt6 over #EFL. What could they bring that #KDEplasma and #LXQt don't already?
There's also: Deepin, UKUI, SailfishOS, Lumina (I liked this one), Trinity DE (used to like it!), others possibly.
#EnlightenmentDE & #MokshaDE are great and they're the only ones -- nearly identical -- that are built upon EFL. It would've been really cool to see/use something quite a bit different built using those famously light foundations. It would add more diversity and perhaps the two smaller projects could provide more for one another in the long run.

Today @BuddiesOfBudgie, the organization behind the #BudgieDesktop and a global leader in pushing back major releases, announced it is forking publicly available Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and will develop and maintain a RHEL-compatible distribution available to all without restrictions. Over the average lifespan of a Budgerigar, Buddies of Budgie plans to invest more than 1 billion bird seeds into this project.
