working from my #SurfaceGo 1 with a Pentium Gold CPU running #Fedora44 and #niri today instead of the usual #MacbookAir M1. Gods, I love this little machine so much. I prefer the form factor of a Surface over a Macbook anyday. The keyboard of the first Surface Go is soooo nice. It feels soooo good. I don't care if it is an underpowered machine. It is a loving machine.

Now that I am finally running Linux on it, it became even better. So happy with this little guy. Just wish the battery would last longer. -

Trying to get an existing wireguard config to work when imported into the NetworkManager UI on Fedora 44.
The interface comes up but doesn't seem to route traffic. The same config works with wg-quick.
Unfortunately I can't check the other end at the moment

After returning from my cat duty I turned on my gaming computer and there was a #Fedora update. It felt like I haven't been home ages, so I thought it has to be an old and stable update.
I lost video drivers for my old Nvidia card and, thus, ability to play most of my games. Including Book of Hours, who is not a visually complex game.

I think I've worked out what was wrong with my VMs on Fedora 44.
Looks like the firewall rules that Docker sets up do not play well with the ones libvirtd adds.
Forcing Docker to use nftables rather than iptables/firewalld appears to fix things

Endlich wieder zurück auf Fedora! 🎩
Ich bin aktuell mit der Version 44 unterwegs. Arch war zwar spannend, aber die ständigen Updates wurden mir auf Dauer doch etwas zu unruhig – ich wollte ein System, das einfach läuft.
Besonders positiv überrascht bin ich von Kinoite auf dem Laptop. Die Installation war die entspannteste, die ich je hatte – gefühlt drei Klicks und das Ding war startklar. 🚀
Nutzt ihr auch schon die 44? Habt ihr spezielle Tipps oder Tweaks, die man kennen sollte?
