Over the past couple of days I've been quietly working on and adding support for a new device (OVERMAX Touch 2.6) to Gadgetbridge... and today I've seen the first tangible results! :ablobfoxbongohyper:
I waited a bit to post anything about it as I wasn't sure if I'd even be able to do it (it is my first BTLE RE project!) but while there's still stuff to be done, I've got to a point where I'm rather confident I can at least reach some basic level of support :neofox_cofe:
The watch itself isn't exactly a popular model iirc, but its companion app is not even available on the Play Store anymore (and it's rather sketchy too if you ask me) so having it supported on @gadgetbridge is already a big plus due to that!
(Btw that's my SO's smartwatch, in fact that's what made me start this project to begin with... and doing something that will help them is more than enough of a reason for me to keep going! :neofox_blep: )

Please share to wireless hackers: Who in the community is doing hacking on fitness trackers, BTLE stuff, radio/wireless, etc? I have an Oura Ring that I had replaced by warranty because the battery life halved suddenly, but it works fine (if with 2-3 days of battery life instead of 5).
Who's the person who'd like this for their lab? I will send a charger as well as the ring because I have an extra one. #infosec #btle #wireless

@wauz @florian @digitalcourage Okay, ich bin da etwas entspannter. Die Dummheit kam erst durch #Luca, denn die #CWA hat zumindest der dezentralen Speicherung entsprochen. Ich selbst halte von der #BTLE Technik für den Zweck nichts, aber nur weil andere andere Meinungen zu EINEM Thema haben, können sie zu einem anderen Thema doch auch einen guten Beitrag leisten.... hmmm
