I almost bought some gorgeous and huge Ukrainian jewellery made from woven rocailles, which I don't have the opportunity to wear. So I went back to hoarding colours at our Festival of Wool and Yarn. Again, I couldn't resist the vintage bobbins. More in the AltText.

And again I look at my collection of vintage #bobbins for #inspiration. I have an idea of a "book scroll" made of very thin fabric. Then I could sew on little "stuff", textile collages with intuitive embroidery. Small, handy portions for the Sunday animation in our cultural heritage centre for a larger art work.
In this heat today, the idea is now slowly simmering in my brain until it is cooked. 🤣

How much of an expert must one be to make your own patterns?
