I miss my hand spindles and bags of fleece and silk fibres...
Spinning wool and walking is a effective method of meditating.
Also knitting up projects using handspun is satisfying.

I got unreasonably excited today when I saw this in a museum - roman era. And then I got crossed because neither the loom or spindles were labelled and folks clearly had no idea what they were looking at.

Fibre festival haul!
I was prioritizing roving over yarn because my roving stash is much smaller (and now I have the wheel!!)I bought the mint mainly on a whim but I think it actually confirms I am actually allergic to mint because I immediately felt unwell 😂😂

One completed WIP for #FinishOrFrogAlong =D
My wedding belt is now a small bowl for my partner's ring when she's not wearing it, and this, whatever this is.
I originally wanted a coaster but the cord had a mind of its own and it was more fun to follow it than fight it.
I'm not completely sure but I think the cord didn't want to stay flat because of the left over twist in it.

I warped my first loom, I love fibre arts so much I can't stop collecting them all but they bring me so much joy
Ashford 24" rigid heddle & the book is "Inventive Weaving on a Little Loom". I know this is only my first project but I dream of a floor loom & the space for it 😭 but the narrow panel sewing ideas are bubbling up uncontrollably.

Finally, I finished "Cunt" (my own design made on flosscross.com)! Gotta flatten it, but all the stitches are done!
It was very fun to do and I am excited to start something new!

One of my work-friends strongly recommended going to the charity shops while I'm in London on vacation (they are, indeed, very different from thrift shops in Canada!) and I found an absolute TREASURE: 4 balls of genuine wool/alpaca yarn for £10 altogether (they were marked at £3/ball but the boys at the counter insisted on only taking a ten since I was getting 4 of them). No cute new dresses or the like (I did try a few things on but nothing seemed like I'd get real wear out of it), but this one find makes the 3-ish hours spent going through a half-dozen shops MORE than worth it.

Everytime I think about not going to crochet club because I'm too tired after work, but I go anyway because "I need to get out more" and every time I prove myself right and have a great (and ultimately) more relaxing time than if I'd gone hone to watch TV.

This afternoon it took me 3 hours to do most of (not quite all) the cutting out for a dress. I'd never make it through on #sewingbee!
Admittedly it's stripes, so I had to cut out the pieces individually rather than in pairs, but still.
