House Sparrows have entered the chat - literally. Very chatty.
I've seen them around but up until now, they've never showed up on our property. Well, the found the feeder, and they're doing their best to keep up with the Chickadees and House Finches for best moochers. I hope they don't discourage my favorite White-crowned Sparrows. But! the feeder has also attracted our first Varied Thrush and Mourning Dove!

When it arrived at my balcony birdfeeder a few months ago I had no idea what it was. I’d never seen one before and thought it was some kind of Alpine parrot.
It has a beak strong enough to crack a cherry stone, so I keep my fingers well clear.

Still impressive how well older lenses can do. This is a Super Takumar 200mm f/4 M42 mount adapted to a Fuji XT-1. It needed defringing and color adjustments to the shadows, but all it all pretty nice for a lens that's an old fart like me.
