Coastal Adventure in West Cork
Just a few months shy of ten years ago, we’d visited Sherkin Island and as we were leaving I spotted a man on a RIB talking to two others on their dingy. It was a lovely warm August day, just before school was about to start again.

When Storm Agnes hits #WestCork tomorrow it will be a great consolation that it is named after a #Skibbereen born astronomer who has a crater on the moon named after her.
A self-taught Irish astronomy writer, Agnes Mary Clerke contributed significantly to the popular astronomy literature of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. -
I went on a 'Sketch Crawl' led by Caroline Boyfield as part of the Skibbereen Arts Festival. I have not opened a sketchbook for months and don't often sketch 'plein air' so it was an interesting outing with a small group of people. Location here is behind Abbystrewery Church in Skibbereen.
