The video showing the cops beating this man on the ground might have been taken by Osman himself on his phone as the camera was too big to quickly get into the hidden space the cops were ganging up on this guy.
There were 4 cops immediately around the man, with more nearby. Even as the reporter was rushing in, you see the brutal cop take one last resentful swing at the guy on the ground with his night stick. You can also see another cop take a swipe at Osman as he's rushing to help the guy, as if to knock the camera out of his hand.
I don't even know for sure whether the guy they were beating was a protestor. There are bystanders who have been injured by the police in the last week as well.
