Well, this is certainly a step in the right direction.What exactly is a "functional grass #lawn," anyway? #Grass lawns are strictly #decorative, and therefore non-functional by definition. If a patch of grass has a legitimate function, then it's not a lawn. Native #grasses for #soil #erosion prevention? Functional. #Lawns and #golf courses? Non-functional.

I feel like an #OldFogey saying this, but back in my #CircuitCity days, if someone returned an item, we tested it to make sure it wasn't defective, then packaged it back up to the best of our abilities, and put it back on the shelf with an #OpenBox discount sticker, usually 20-50% off retail price. We never sent anything to the #landfill unless it was legitimately broken beyond repair.

I think the damages ought to be proportionate to the size of the organization and the depth of its pockets. Many #hospitals (yes, even many of those so-called "community" hospitals) are now 100% owned and operated by enormous healthcare mega-conglomerates with substantial assets and cash reserves.I'm obviously not advocating for completely bankrupting any #healthcare organization here. But when they screw up and cause harm to their #patients, we need to make sure they feel the pain every bit as acutely as their patients do. Otherwise, they'll just keep budgeting for future #LegalPenalties as a #CostOfDoingBusiness, making none of the changes necessary to prevent such incidents from happening again, and laughing all the way to the bank.

Is #English your native language, as it is mine? #Polish and #Czech are both #Slavic languages, and I've found Czech way more challenging than the other languages I've dabbled with (#Spanish and #French, both of which are #Romance languages, and seem to have a lot in common with English in terms of their #grammar, #SentenceStructure, and largely #Latin-based lexicons).
Of course, English is primarily a #Germanic language, so the reasons why Romance languages seem easier to me than Slavic languages are probably best explained by someone who knows a lot more about #Linguistics, #LanguageHistory, and #ProtoIndoEuropean.
