  8. If you go vegan you can use iron-based pans without unhealthy coatings. Whereas a meat-eater might push themselves well over their iron needs (and Fe is oxidising), a vegan won't as easily travel into that territory & might top up. As for seasoning the pans, though? Acrylamides?

  9. Reconcile this: liking butterflies because they provide entertainment yet hating caterpillars. They have low intelligence, reflection, creativity... Yet we wage war on them for eating OUR food plants - which they also like.

  11. I admit it. Food waste. To be fair, it was a 'crazy carrot'. Good on supermarkets for selling what would've been a reject. We gave it a good home! #FoodWaste #Waste #Food #SustainableDiet #Christmas

  12. Stop this stock-based regenerative farming greenwashing. Stop bullshitting about cows replacing bison. If you wanted to replace bison, you'd argue for bison. You want a reason to keep farming meat while making it sound cosy and green. It's not. Tell the truth.

  13. Wish for 2023. An end to shallowness. #Degrowth of wealthy nations. Status around owning stuff is replaced by status around the social & environmental efforts people make.

We learn to value what a person does for the world rather than what they own and consume. No more shallow #TinyTate #SmallDickEnergy.

  14. I'm growing Xerochrysum bracteatum, a local #wildflower. Also known as everlasting due to its ability to be dried for floristry, or paper daisy, after the crispy, papery feel of the petals.

  15. #vegan mango lassi.

    We're free to damage 70%.

  20. A previous GP was stunned at my low LDL cholesterol levels. And B12, iron, protein, etc were fine. My weight is sound.

I said I ate a vegan diet. A derisory snort followed.

Objective measures, still not enough. Meat-as-norm ideology speaks people. They don't even notice.

  22. @Andy_Scollick it's taken forever to get climate change on the map, and many have had their backs turned. As you know, it's not even (yet) the most serious of the planetary boundary breaches. I think these two images capture the essence of the problem.
