Last winter, I read an article about how creatively snowfall decorations were used on static websites, and that this tradition has almost completely disappeared since the rise of Web 2.0.

JetBrains vs custom font issue
I usally use a retro font called "MxPlusIBMVGA9x16". Childhood nostalgy. I can use it anywhere but in JetBrains terminals. It is not listed as monospace font in the reworked terminal's menu. It is listed as monospace editor font though. 🤷
I dissected the font with FontForge and with Python's fonttools lib too. Panose table, isFixedPitch are in order. What should I look for to fix?

It hallucinates random Java, Python, RPM and other stuff as being your #go code's dependencies. 🤪 Also, you can get a random unmaintained helloworld repo as a project "you derived yours from" or an "unmarked dependency" because it is nothing but a single go file, two lock files and a README.md and your project happens to have last three out of that four making 75% mach. 🤦 Yes, the content is different, you may have 172 other files, but these 3 matches cannot be a coincidence...

The original #Tron movie touched a bunch of real issues alongside its fictional themes. IPR theft from inadequately protected workstations, loss of control over AI, and its plans for world domination.
Tron: Legacy completely ignored all realistic issues. Portraying free software as a teenage prank is just facepalm-worthy at best.
Right now, the genAI bubble is inflating, while tech bros are doing their best to overthrow democracy worldwide. Dedicated developers and FOSS might fight an epic battle to secure our future. And what is Tron: Ares about? Good and evil megacorps are fighting to acquire an algorithm. 🤦♂️ Ignorance, fear of the subject, or deliberate distraction?
It is shocking that even a 2004 film, I, Robot, raises more relevant questions about how AI and closed-source always-connected software controlled by a mega-corporation can take away people's freedom.

After adding real function to the main menu or Start menu on my blog a couple of days ago, I continued updating the design yesterday evening. I added status bars to the windows to improve both the functionality and the nostalgic factor of the aesthetics at the same time.
Fun fact: the menu was implemented without JS purely with HTML + CSS.
I also overcame the Android & Safari sizing annoyances by using dynamic viewport height (dvh) instead of viewport height (vh) in the CSS.
