  6. quick study of my coffee grinder created in #freecad and rendered in #Blender #noai

  7. @th TechDraw workbench I presume. #freecad has many specialist workbenches in the add-on repo things like Foamcut or Sheetmetal and I just found the Fasteners wb which is marvelous!

  8. Warum nicht gleich so, und out of the Box?

    Benutzerfreundlich ist was anderes.

  9. Hahaaa! Success! 🥳

#AgfaPhotoAPX100 developed in #Rodinal 1+50 for 10 minutes at 20°C, agitation (swirling) for the first minute, then 10 seconds every minute. Fixed in #Adofix 1+4 for four minutes.

Shot on my #YashicaFX3Super2000 with the ML 50mm f1.9 and a yellow filter. 🤓

  10. This #FreeCADFriday I present you an enclosure design for my SEGA8 Programmer (a programmer for flash based SEGA #MasterSystem and #GameGear cartridges). I also designed a TPU cover to avoid dust entering the Game Gear port while unused. STL and #FreeCAD design files available on #Printables: printables.com/model/1703783-s

  11. Quick project, we finished rebuilding a couple of Artillery X1s and needed a case for the screen/Pi running Klipper (existing designs didn't work). Fan mount on back, port access on side. Still some work to go. Will have a front face plate that screws in to the front. Nothing complex. #freecadfriday

  12. #FreeCADFriday Finished my multi-week OBS WiFi-Remote project yesterday and sent it on its way to my friend :D

  13. This #FreeCADFriday I have another tool for household repairs.

This is a versatile hex wrench I used for switching several faucets.

The FreeCAD file is parameterized so you can easily adapt it to your needs. I have already prepared and uploaded a host of ready-to-print sizes.

(The aerator spanner on the photo can be found in my previous posts.)

  16. As I skipped #FreeCADFriday last week, this week I uploaded an early entry:

I made a Bowden cable guide for my bike.

I hope it might be useful for other people as well!

  17. For now, I've opted to modify the reel from the original model to implement the 'film feeding mechanism' I had in mind. It works pretty well. (Test film of course, hence the long leader.)

  19. I made a thing. The thing is a ring. It keeps the hose from going... Damn! Hose doesn't rhyme with loose. Anyway, the plastic collet / retaining ring for Parkside brass hose connectors. #FreeCAD #Prusa #3dPrint #3dPrinting #Parkside #Gardening

  23. Not yet #freecadfriday but I've knocked up a replacement desklamp holder for a Luigi Colani designed 1970's desk. First time I've played with lofting, tapering and polar rotation in one model! And I managed it in under half an hour.

  24. @freecad 1.1.1 is just awesome ❤️‍🔥. Today I'm very happy that I've invested all that time to learn #freecad and haven't wasted significant time for #fusion360 or so!

Today I finished a stand for my son’s stunt scooter 💪

  25. #FreeCAD (freecad.org/features.php?lang=) is good but missing enough features to make me truly miss #SolidWorks

If pirating SolidWorks or using FreeCAD are my two options I'm actually not sure what I'd pick.

Honestly? If there was a #CAD3d option with a reasonable subscription ($50-200/year) that didn't make me relearn my workflow I'd definitely pay for that.

Onshape is online only and makes all your designs public unless you pay them $1500 a year, which.... nah. Hell nah.

  26. This week's #freecadfriday project, the first working prints finished today.

I use Polymaker's Polydryer boxes, that are silica gel boxes that can be just dropped onto their dryer machine without taking the spool out. While it's a decent product, the spool hub has annoyed me for a long time about them. There's just this plastic cylinder that goes there and while it's passable with plastic filament spools, it introduces noticeable drag on the cardboard ones that most of mine are these days.

I set out to find a way to modify them to get rid of this nasty misfeature.
