I sometimes wonder if I'm getting "boring" taking as many pictures of trees as I do, but then I see some of my favorite photographers on Mastodon also taking a lot of pictures of trees so I feel validated. I love the way that bark looks on B&W film. My wife always gets a chuckle when we're walking and I say “hang on a sec, I gotta get a picture of this great big knobby bastard!”

Man kann auch bei schlechtem #Wetter fotografieren: Habe einen #Foma #Foma400 in die #Olympus #OM2sp #OlympusOM2sp eingelegt, den Messer auf #ISO800 gestellt, mache gerade #Hennef unsicher und plane, den #Film nachher in #Rodinal #Adonal zu pushen. Genau das richtige #Licht für viel hartes #Grain, tiefes Schwarz und knallige #Highlights. Schaumama, was draus wird... 😉

So I experimented with loading some 35 mm film into my Mamiya Six to see if I could get some "panoramic" images. I learned a lot but I'm also very happy with some of these happy accidents.
The view window in the back jostled open (despite the leather case) and leaked through enough light to create the orb but not enough to just burn it altogether. The spots are from few tiny remnants after the wash, so small that I didn't notice, but I might wash the film again.
I call this one, "That's no Moon". I'll post a few more in this thread.

Infrared film is quite wild (even though it didn't turn out right) it looks magical. At first glance this looks like a winter scene but there was no snow. The trees are green not white, the water is light to deep turquoise not black but somehow the rocks come out about what they look like.
It's been a good idea to visit this roll after a bit and see the images without the initial disappointment of mistakes-made compounded by non-ideal weather. I'll have a few more to post later.📷 #BessaR2 + #7Artisan35mmf2

Should I go back to analog? The pleasure and impatience of waiting for the film to be completely shot before developing it, the pleasure of seeing a beautiful negative come out of the tank. I want to prepare some #Rodinal ! But I don't have enough time. I can't wait to retire from my full-time job!

También me traje la ampliadora que supe usar durante un tiempo, hace unos 20 años, cuando hice fotografía B&W con una Olympus Pen FT de medio cuadro. Tengo varias fotos escaneadas. Principalmente trabajaba con Agfapan de 25 ASA, Ilford Pan F de 50 ASA y algunas astrofotografías con la Tri-X forzada o color la Fuji Superia de 800 para astronomía o la Velvia para slide. Revelaba con Rodinal y generalmente utilizaba papel fotográfico multigrado, creo que Agfa también y algunos Talbot viejos y vencidos, antes que fueran tendencia (lo de usar papel fotográfico vencido). En la ampliadora Usaba un lente Componar y también un Componon f/2.8. Todo eso me traje #photography #fotografía #agfa #rodinal #componar #componon #filmphotography #fotografíaAnalogica

Another heavily underexposed image here but I really like the soft light highlighting this young tree amongst the large mature trees. I do have some better exposures that I'll share as I work on them, but somehow the poorly exposed ones are the ones I'm most drawn to.
