Bosco della Fontana is a natural reserve, a protected residual of what the big plain in North Italy used to be until XI Century, when deforestation and human pressure began to change the landscape. The reserve is crisscrossed by pedestrian paths and streams of clear and cold water.

We're driving back from Salla Nat'l Park, and a few hundred meters/yards from the Polar Circle we see a sign on the road that says: uimaranta / swimming beach. In the middle of a forest? We turn right and soon we arrive at the cutest lake beach ever. After a long hike what's better than a splash in fresh clear waters?! We love #Finland.
