Women from #Puno secure rights for Lake Titicaca in the face of contamination #Peru #Wasser #Frauen
El Peruano published the decision to authorise rights for nature, this time for Lake #Titicaca, following a campaign by women from the Peruvian Altiplano to protect the lake from problems of contamination, principally mining in Puno region. Previously, the regional government had given its unanimous approval to giving the lake legal status.

07.10.2025 Copacabana : Après plus d’un an à voyager en groupe presque sans interruption, je reprend la route de mon côté, par besoin de retrouver mon propre rythme. Me dirigeant vers la Paz, je passe par quelques routes de terre et un passage sur une barque le temps de contourner Titicaca. Les locaux sont accueillants après un Pérou qui aura été très rude côté interactions. Sur la route les gens me saluent, sourient, font preuve de curiosité et viennent me parler.

05.10.2025 Titicaca : Nous quittons aujourd’hui le Pérou pour la Bolivie (https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bolivie) via la petite frontière de Copacabana afin de terminer dans la journée de la ville touristique du même nom.

04.10.2025 Puno : après avoir pris un bus jusqu’à une ville au bord du célèbre #lac #Titicaca (https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lac_Titicaca). On commence à le longer. La route est le plus souvent éloignée de celui ci. Peu avant la ville de Juli, on pose la tente à 3800m en face du lac. Le coucher de soleil est quand à lui splendide, tout comme la vue, avec en face de nous quelques sommets enneigés.

For #StandingStoneSunday, here is a standing stela we excavated in 2003 in a #MiddleFormative (#LateChiripa, ca. 800-250 BCE) sunken court structure at the site of #KalaUyuni. This is near the southern shores of lake #Titicaca in #Bolivia. The second pic shows the top of the stone relative to ground level.
